HOTELS & SPAS

The world class hotels and spas in Napa and Sonoma will make your time in wine country unforgettable. The accommodations simply ooze luxury and the spas will keep your mind and body at ease. Whether you’re in town for a short visit, or just want to get away from our home nearby, there are a number of world-class hotels and spas within the valleys.

Here are a few of the most popular and acclaimed accommodations and spas to consider:

AUBERGE DU SOLEIL

Auberge du Soleil is one of the premiere destinations in wine country. It’s an inn that offers the feel of an isolated, country home with luxurious accommodations and an incredible spa that attracts guests from all over looking to have their fill of wine and then relax in their blissful suites. Their spa covers 7,000 square feet of immaculate space with amazing views overlooking Napa Valley. The spa is only for the hotel’s guests making it even more exclusive. Auberge is a hotel and spa that truly defines Napa.

THE CARNEROS INN

This inn is in a unique location within the valleys. It’s set on 27 acres of picturesque Napa countryside, with endless farmland, vineyards and apple orchards. The views of nature and the relaxation at the spa is a heavenly combination hard to come by. If the serenity offered is not enough you can book your own cottage on the property, offering even more seclusion. At the spa, choose from a number of body wraps using local ingredients to rejuvenate.

THE KENWOOD INN AND SPA

A gorgeous residence tucked away into the town of Kenwood. It’s a sought after destination for visitors who want to get the most out of wine country, but at the same time enjoy luxurious, peaceful accommodations. The inn is designed with the allure of a magnificent Mediterranean villa, allowing guests to truly escape to this hideaway. The spa boasts powerful skincare treatments where aestheticians do their best to make guests radiate youth and health once they leave. Truly a joy for the pleasure seeker.

SOLAGE RESORT & SPA

Nestled between scenic mountains at the northern end of wine country lies Solage—a chic resort located in the town of Calistoga. Many call Solage the ‘little sister’ of Auberge de Soleil, as the two do have much in common. But one thing that makes Solage unique is it’s take on Calistoga’s traditional mud baths, offering a superb ‘Mudslide’ treatment.

Solage offer sophisticated and modern accommodations, restaurants including the Michelin-rated Solbar and spa. Whether you’re looking to wine and dine, spend time at the spa, or have a romantic weekend away, Solage is a perfect fit.

OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS

Napa and Sonoma counties have developed a renowned culinary scene to complement this famous wine-growing region. Talented, celebrity chefs have made their way to California wine country in order to bring their dishes to the posh tourists and locals.

Here are a few of our favorite restaurants in the region:

THE FRENCH LAUNDRY

The illustrious French Laundry is touted as Wine Country’s best restaurant—it has even been praised as the World’s best. Chef Thomas Keller and his staff consistently work to dazzle the taste buds, eyes, and minds of patrons with unbelievably delicious food and excellent service.

If you’re considering dinner at The French Laundry, makes sure to book well in advanced. Reservations are accepted up to two months in advance and are in general difficult to procure. If you do happen to get a table at this restaurant you can rest assured you will enjoy some of the world’s best dining.

FARM AT THE CARNEROS INN

Enjoy fine cuisine at the secluded Carneros Inn which sits on 27 gorgeous acres of Napa countryside. Chef Jeffrey Jake serves up local fare, all sourced from farms and ranches within the region, to place an emphasis on their commitment to sustainable agriculture in the region. Menu favorites include Jidori Chicken and the duck breast. The restaurant is reminiscent of an old barn and from a distance one would never guess that it was a classy restaurant. The atmosphere is nonetheless authentic and relaxing, and offers both outdoor patio seating or indoor seating with great ambience. FARM really epitomizes the surrounding Napa valley.

THE RESTAURANT AT MEADOWOOD

A staple in Napa Valley, The Restaurant at Meadowood is a modern American restaurant that seeks to evoke all that Napa has to offer. Chef Chris Kostow and his culinary team make an effort to offer a unique dining experience to all patrons by offering bespoke menus to fit any palate. This has really allows The Restaurant to create lasting experiences and relationships with the guests at Meadowood, not to mention their three Michelin-star rating.

Enjoy a dozen courses, sometimes twenty, and perhaps the best service of your life in this newly remodeled dining room. Chef Kostow embraces creativity so you won’t know what to expect on your plate at Meadowood.

LA TOQUE

Located in downtown Napa, La Toque is a restaurant that is well deserving of its Michelin star. It serves up excellent seafood and steaks using the finest, local ingredients. La Toque is known for their ability to pair your meal with wine from their cellar of over 2,000 collections. WINE TASTING & CULTURE

Napa and Sonoma are synonymous with wine. The perfect climate and location has been producing world-class wine for many years and has made it a sought after travel destination. So when a visitor comes to California’s wine country, you can bet they’re looking to taste as much local wine as they can. Fortunately, with the hundreds of wineries in the region, there are plenty of options.

The majority of wineries will offer tasting of their products, in addition to tours of their facilities. However, because of the wide array of wineries in terms of size and scope, they operate differently from one another. Some manufacturers like Robert Mondavi are open daily, offer guided tours, and have rooms set aside for tasting top-notch wine. Smaller wineries, on the other hand, usually require appointments for tours to be made so that they are not overburdened by visitors, so it is suggested that if you are interested in visiting a particular winery to schedule a tour ahead of time if needed.
