In just a few days, thousands of film fans will attend the 2014 Napa Valley Film Festival, NVFF14, drawing the largest audience to date and featuring more star power than ever. Over five days, November 12-16, 2014, more than 300 filmmakers will descent on Napa to mingle with Napa residents and other NVFF14 guests. In all, 125 films will be shown in unique venues in Napa, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga, from turn of the century art house theaters and state-of-the-art facilities to speakeasy lounges.
According to Festival co-founders Marc and Brenda Lhormer the major star power in 2014 has brought amazing financial sponsors and patrons, taking the event to new heights. The visionary co-founders of are no strangers to the world of film. This year, they flexed their Hollywood muscle to entice power players like Harvey Weinstein and his wife, Georgina Chapman, and actors Kevin Costner, Shailene Woodley and Mike Myers. Major sponsors for 2014 include Mercedes-Benz, Amazon web services, Intel and Bank of America.
The NVFF was launched in 2010 as a mini festival, created to offer an incredible cultural experience combining independent filmmaking with the true spirit of Napa Valley. Today, they have reached that goal and beyond.
Besides the exciting star line up, our local chefs and wineries are pulling out all the stops to feed and wine the NVFF14 attendees.
