I was not surprised when I learned that Napa made CNN’s list of the 10 Healthiest cities
in the world. According to the report, Napa inspires healthy habits, and the community offers an abundance of healthy activities. Organizations and residents of Napa and other cities around the globe made videos to tell the story of how their city inspires good health and why they strive to make wellness a priority. From those videos, it became evident which cities promote wellness and why.
The leaders of all 10 healthiest cities have implemented laws and policies that ensure locals have access to healthy living. All of them offer residents parks, nutritious food and public transportation and have created innovative programs to combat disease, increase the quality of life for residents long into old age, and encourage citizen engagement in creating a healthy community.
The small town feeling of Napa brings the community together for holidays and other social events. Combine that with our amazing natural resources and you’ll see why Napa offers residents an absolutely picturesque place to live a beautiful, relaxed, stress free life. We rejoice in our ability to balance work and play. Residents can make wellness their priority with outdoor, organic food markets, hiking and biking trails and our amazing arts culture. Plus, there’s the wine. Although new research shows
the antioxidant in red wine doesn’t add to a person’s longevity, having a glass or two is known to reduce stress.
